General Business Sector Workshops 2011
Health & Safety Committees Inspections & Reporting (Feb 3, 2011): This workshop will cover the minimum safety and health requirements for health and safety committees, health and safety representatives, inspections, reporting and training requirements. WSIB Reporting & NEER Statement Management (March 9, 2011): NEER provides financial incentives to improve health and safety in the workplace by issuing a refund or adding a surcharge on your annual premium. This workshop will review the NEER program and discuss Claims Management Processes, ways to manage your NEER costs and reporting requirements under WSIB. Legislative Updates (April 7, 2011): Staying on top of all the legislative changes can be challenging, we will review and update you on key legislation. This will include:
Conflict Management (May 5, 2011): Differing opinions create conflict, how you deal with it and others will impact the resolution of the situation. Learn the different styles of conflict management and when it is most advantageous to approach with a different style. Conducting Effective Performance Reviews (June 2, 2011): This workshop will introduce participants to the importance of having a performance appraisal process for employees; how to work with employees to set performance standards and goals; developing skills in observing and giving feedback, listening and asking questions for improved performance and develop strategies for managing employee performance.
