AODA - Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
AODA - Are You Prepared?
Learn about the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Standards and how they affect your organization. Currently Legislation: Customer Service Information and Communication, Employment and Transportation. This workshop is an online course (anytime at your convenience). This is an introductory session and can be used as the pre-requisite to the Train the Trainer sessions for AODA but is not recommended as you will not receive the full benefit as you will with the full day session.
AODA - Customer Service Standard
Webinar Course Registration: This Online Webinar will introduce you to the legislative requirements and guide you through the processes you need to complete for your organization in order to comply with this legislation. By combining the latest best practices with case studies and practical exercises online, we create experiences that are stimulating, enjoyable and prepare participants to effectively apply the applications as part of their learning and understanding of the AODA and of Persons with Disabilities to effectively address situations in the workplace. You will be expected to participate online in discussions and talk about your workplace to stimulate ideas on how you will incorporate changes into your workplace to incorporate the changes you need to make to meet or exceed the legislative requirements for your organization. This online webinar will run from 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time until 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time with a one hour Break from 12 noon to 1 p.m. This online Customer Service training for employees is self paced and includes an online assessment once the course is completed. This course has pre-work, post-work and a quiz including a 1 hour phone review, and Q&A session to be scheduled at time of registration by phone. Register online for the course. Train the Trainer The Train the Trainer course entails 1/2 of the day learning about adult facilitation skills and 1/4 of the day will be addressing policy, program and documentation for your workplace and 1/4 of the day applying the knowledge learned to developing an employee training program for the participant’s workplace. It is very much a crash course and could easily be a 3 day course to get the full benefit of the application. If this is something you are interested in – a 3 day course – please let us know and if we have enough interest we will plan a 3 day back to back workshop for the AODA Customer Service and then again for each of the Standards under the Act as they apply.
